MEET THE TEAM

Hi. Welcome to Found on Folksy, a blog promoting Hand Made on Folksy. We are:

Aleximo Croissant (Alex Broadbent) "Years of making my own jewellery, birthday cards and presents have inspired me to expand. I sleep with a sketchbook by my pillow and encourage everyone to run with their ideas, especially if you don’t know where it’s going! My favorite material is a pencil and paper, as everything has to start somewhere".

Glassprimitif (Jo Whitehead) "I am a fused glass artist, creating dishes, fishes and jewellery. I love to fuse glass in my attic studio and I pride myself on the originality of my glass. I am influenced by vibrant colour and in-yer-face design".

Max and Molly Designs (Jane Macleod) "I live in Edinburgh with my fiancé and 2 rescue greyhounds. When I'm not getting creative with ink and screens, I operate my own dog walking business, spending my days outdoors in the beautiful Scottish countryside in the company of my favourite animals!"

The Whistling Cowgirl (Lucy Ward) "Based in Shropshire in the UK, I design and hand make all my items from home. I make retro styled soft toys, cushions, bags, gifts and accessories and greeting cards based on my own artwork. I sell at regular craft fairs, through retail outlets, on Etsy and now on Folksy. Please visit my website - www.thewhistlingcowgirl.co.uk - for more details, images, information on stockists and where I'll be selling this year!"

Red Road Design (Jay Anderson) "Hello there! I'm Jay Anderson, originally from Glasgow and now living in Fife. I love all aspects of art and design, enjoy photography, cooking and secretly want to get back to knitting again (why do I feel I need to say that in a whisper?) I graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, far too many years ago to remember. Over the last 20 years as a professional designer I've been lucky enough to work in such positions as a children's fashion illustrator, graphic designer and textile designer for major UK companies such as Marks & Spencer, Boots, Debenhams & Next etc. But it’s my personal work I'm focusing on now that allows me to explore and go off on creative tangents. I'm enjoying working with my blog and looking forward to meeting new friends and the collaborations that it can often bring."

HutchPotch (Samantha Hutchinson)"I started HutchPotch in 2006 after leaving my careeer as an NHS Finance Manager. I have always had a passion for arts and crafts for as long as I can remember. These days, I am primarily an artist and specialise in handpainting onto wood. I create original and one of a kind decorative home and gift items . I also design and make jewellery, with a primary interest in 'vintage inspired' pieces. I sell online mainly through Folksy and Facebook. I also have a portfolio of regular farmers' markets and craft fairs throughout the North Yorkshire area."
