Somewhere, over the Rainbow

According to Wikipedia, a rainbow is an optical and meteorological phenomenon that causes a spectrum of light to appear in the sky when the sun shines onto droplets of moisture in the Earth's atmosphere.

According to me, rainbows are simply the most stunning sight on earth. No one can resist rainbows - and this is very much proved by the fine folk on Folksy. So feast your eyes on this week's selection of radiant rainbows - enjoy!

Well, I don't know about you, but I'm a very Happy Bunny! This is a collection to brighten any Monday :) Happy Rainbow Day, wherever you are!

Baking Day

I love baking cakes - particularly as I now have a hand whisk after all those years of beating butter and sugar by hand (I also have great biceps)! I try out recipes from blogs, websites and from friends and it's my ambition to become the cupcake queen. Inspired by baking, I have browsed the handmade items on Folksy and come up with this selection of delights.

If I Could Turn Back Time....

Time. There's never enough of it, and what there is seems to fly by at a most unseemly rate. And so what better subject matter than to find inspiration from Cher's timeless song, If I Could Turn Back Time. Here are a selection of lovely things which show that our Folksters are trying to do just that...

Hopefully this selection of lovely finds have helped to slow down time, it not turn it back entirely. And here is one final salute to Cher for being the inspiration behind this week's post:

Proud as a Peacock

I once came home from work to find a huge male peacock waiting at our front door! I live in a terrace house on a quiet street so it was rather a surprise. All the neighbours gathered around and the bird seemed very tame but also very determined to come in the house. Someone called the RSPCA who eventually turned up with a crate and the peacock happily jumped into the crate.  In memory of this surreal moment I have searched out some peacock items from Folksy.
