When it comes to buying art I am more likely to buy an original hand pulled print than a painting. There is something slightly primitive about lino printing that appeals to me and lino printing is an art form that you can do anywhere - even taking the equipment on holiday! Of all the print making processes I learned at art school I enjoyed lino and silk screen printing the most so to celebrate this lovely craft I have scoured Folksy for some fabulous prints.

wow, reading about lino prints has taken me back to my college days....some really beautiful pictures here :)
Beautiful lino cuts! I've experimented a bit in lino cutting & would love to be able to create such impressive prints ;-)
Some great work there! I love the birds and Harbour print especially. Haven't done much printing since college (scarily 20 yrs ago!) Would love to do some more one day :)
Thanks for featuring my goose print, among such lovely work. Great to see lino printing mentioned. Many thanks :)
ooooohhh, thanks for the inspiration, i'm gonna get creative wih lino. The smell of it takes me back to my old college art room. Thanks for all the links to the print artists, a few I recognise from around places in Brighton.
Fab images! The monotone animal prints are my fave. So much detail.
Many thanks for adding my pink primula tags in your lovely lino printing feature :0) hannah.
