It's been talked about on the Folksy forums before, but I often find myself browsing through newly listed items on Folksy. Its wonderful to see the wide variety of crafts and disciplines, and the sheer volume of new listings shows Folksy's growth and popularity (always a good thing!). But every now and again a pattern crops up in my browsing, and these patterns become FoF articles. Without further adieu, here are some of my fav Map picks;
This lovely handbound book from Paperfaerie has a cute pockets made from envelopes. Would make a great travel journal.
This amazing piece of art from TerrorDome comes complete with box frame, ready to adorn your wall! Custom orders also accepted.
These cufflinks from White Dove Jewellery can be custom made with any two locations for the map pieces. A wonderful gift to remember a special journey, or to remind him of home on a long business trip.
These recycled map home decorations from Wrapped Up With String would make great fancy bows onto of presents, or simply hung from decorative twigs in a vase to create a modern centerpiece.
Cute tags from old maps by Miss Pretty, I love the antiqued, faded look these have. Would be so lovely tried to a brown paper parcel.
Another map notebook, this one's from Curious Things. Inside the pages have been hand cut from old envelopes and maps, and handsewn with perforated tear-off pages.
This delicate piece is actually a recycled greetings card from Ethel & Iris, and even the packaging a biodegradable!
So there you have my Map themed pieces, I hope you enjoyed,
